The National Association of Community Legal Centres (NACLC) is an association of around 200 community legal centres which aims to assist and promote them, and provides a forum for the development of community legal centres’ policy. For more information, visit their website: http://www.naclc.org.au/
Volunteer Students
The WLC has a number of volunteer students who work at the WLC each week day during business hours, 9am to 5pm. Volunteer students undertake a range of administrative functions such as filing, assisting with publications, photocopying, assisting the solicitors with their work and a range of other functions. Student volunteers spend half a day once a week at the WLC either in the morning or the afternoon. Benefits to students include gaining experience in working in a legal environment and experience working in an office environment. The WLC benefits because of the work undertaken by students which it otherwise struggles to complete.
If you are interested in assisting the Centre while undertaking your studies please contact the Centre on admin@womenslegalact.org to obtain an information package on the Centres Student Program.
