The centre received an International Women's Day award on 8 March 2007.

The award was presented by the ACT Minister for Women, Katy Gallagher, who acknowledged the significant contribution of the centre in providing legal assistance to over 1300 women a year, as well as undertaking legal education and law reform activities.
